About the opportunityOur client's property is situated in the heart of Melbourne - a hotel of choice that is just as popular with weekday corporate clientele as it is with weekend travellers.You will oversee the daily operations and performance of a large-scale hotel, including multiple F&B outlets, several conference and event spaces, front office, and various departments that contribute to servicing 200+ hotel rooms.As Hotel General Manager, you will lead from the front, inspire all departmental teams, and empower those around you - constantly striving for both commercial and operational success, from driving top-line revenue and bottom-line profits to delivering memorable guest experiences.The selected candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to keep relevant parties informed of business growth, decisions, and financial outcomes.Key responsibilitiesAchieve excellence from a ownership perspective that is centred around guest satisfaction, people development, financial goalsOversee all property products, services, policies, and emergency proceduresExecutive management across recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews and performance management processesStrengthen partnership and development of Sales, Revenue and Marketing departmentsHands on role that requires a senior leader to pivot from helping with housekeeping and front office teams, to creating business plans with food, beverage and events departmentsConduct any Health and Safety procedures, including key property, guest and team member safety and duty of care tasksThe candidateA minimum of 5 years' experience managing a 200+ room hotel operation, preferably at a 4* and above levelStandout stakeholder management skillsAbility to design and deliver high level strategies across F&B, C&E, and accommodationA leader experienced in special projects and new openings/redevelopments is desirableStrong financial acumen with ability to compile financial reports and manage overall day-to-day financial processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHow to ApplyAttach a resume and Click APPLY
