Overview
Our client, a leading international manufacturer of wet and dry food products, is seeking skilled Quality Assurance Laboratory Technicians to join their dynamic team in Murarrie, Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for proactive and detail-oriented individuals with a background in Food Science or quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a QA Laboratory Technician, you'll report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor and play a vital role in ensuring product quality and compliance.
You will be responsible for conducting wet and dry quality tests on raw materials and finished goods in line with industry and company standards.
Hours
Night Shift 8 PM – 4 AM, Monday to Friday
Note: For Night Shift roles a 3-week training period on Day Shift will be required before transitioning to the night shift.
Responsibilities
Perform routine QA tests following company quality procedures and the Quality Program Manual.
Conduct Critical Control Point verification checks.
Accurately enter QA data into SAP and maintain digital records.
Raise and follow up on Non-Conformances and block stock processes.
Conduct temperature checks and support shelf-life validation programs.
Perform water and air plate testing as required.
Maintain cleanliness and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Support GMP and collaborate closely with production staff.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
A Diploma or Degree in Food Science (or equivalent relevant laboratory / industry experience).
Prior experience in a food manufacturing QA or laboratory setting.
A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
Proficiency with Windows-based systems and prior SAP experience (highly regarded).
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Full working rights in Australia.
