Retail Financial Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time **Retail Financial Analyst** to join our management team at dnata catering, located at our port operations in **Brisbane**.

**More about this role**:
The Retail Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering grounded business intelligence and financial analytics as part of our growing Retail and Hospitality arm. This role is vital to support our strategic decision making moving forward.

You will support and advise Business Managers across our three retail divisions; including a large commercial warehouse delivering thousands of ready made meals daily through our supply chain partners across Australia, a large major airline catering contract and a busy full-service airport lounge.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:
DECISION MAKING SUPPORT
- Support business decisions across Finance, Retail, Labour Planning and potential asset class reviews. You will do this by gathering relevant data, performing analysis, modelling scenarios and providing insights.
- Perform deep and complex decision analysis of various strategic initiatives including cost/benefit analysis to influence key stakeholders and partnering with the business.
- Advise the business and make recommendations on where to improve
- Drive key business performance control mechanisms including overall KPIs

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
- Provide high level advice (Executive and C-Level) and consultancy to the business in its detailed annual planning and budget process, ensuring cost optimisation and revenue earning opportunities are enhanced.

STAKE HOLDER ENGAGEMENT
- Establish and build on relationships with stakeholders of all levels of the business
- Use your influence to coach senior stakeholders in change practices and methods
- Effective and regular engagement to understand and address different perspectives to achieve intended outcomes.

**What do you need to be successful in this role?**
- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- CPA, CA or CIMA Professional Qualification essential
- Degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or related discipline preferred
- Airline or manufacturing industry with retail exposure preferred
- Advanced Excel, financial modelling tools and experience with ERP systems
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and capacity to provide recommendations based upon modelling and solution based reasoning
- High level communicator with experience in a range of project management
- Able to inspire others with vision and drive for performance
- Ability for some business travel interstate as required
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check
