Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Client Platform team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of core client infrastructure, including the design system, shared UI components, performance tooling, and accessibility standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in managing large-scale engineering projects and teams. They will be able to drive developer productivity, unify cross-platform experiences, and foster technical excellence across the organization.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced software engineer looking to transition into a leadership role or for someone who has already established themselves as a leader in the field. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Own Heidi's Frontend Platform: Lead the technical strategy, development, and maintenance of core client infrastructure.
Drive Developer Productivity: Build tooling and abstractions that improve the day-to-day experience of frontend engineers.
Unify Cross-Platform Experiences: Collaborate with design and product to ensure consistent, performant experiences across desktop, mobile, and web clients.
Foster Technical Excellence: Champion best practices in frontend architecture, testing, performance, and accessibility across the org.
Requirements:
8–10+ years of engineer management experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.
Proven track record building and scaling production systems in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
Deep knowledge of infrastructure automation, CI/CD tooling, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Experience with secrets management, service mesh, and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in healthcare.
Comfort with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
