In-Home Disability Support Carer in Baulkham Hills. Afternoon care routine 2-4 days per week to be trained in detailed physical care of a fun-loving 14 year old paraplegic young lady.

Days: Tuesdays-Fridays, 2-4 afternoons per week

Time: 4pm-6.30pm or 2pm-6.30pm

Location: Baulkham Hills.

Would be perfect for a Nurse/Paramedicine Student.
- Friendly, Caring and attentive to detail.
- Interested in learning physical and medical care while building a relationship with a fun loving 14 year old along the way.
- Must have your own transport.

The job involves the 14 yr old client afternoon care routine, working alongside her Mum for training and support of physical and relational needs, giving quality of life to the client whilst working in a loving family environment.

Home Caring Kellyville is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS services in North Western Sydney.

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

Main responsibilities and activities may include:

- Assistance with care in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility)
- Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments
- Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
- Assistance with medications
- Light administrative duties (record maintenance, reporting)

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current National Police check
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
- Full Covid-19 vaccination
- Different cultural backgrounds welcome, but not necessary

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
