**Company Overview**: Our client is a national leader in the steel industry, generating approximately $800 million in annual revenue. They are a trusted partner in Australian construction, focusing on safe, customer-centered, and sustainable solutions.

**Role Purpose**: The Commercial Manager is responsible for driving regional success through sales performance, safe operations, and high-quality customer service, focusing on targets across People, Market, Assets, and Financials (PMAFs).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Promote a safe culture, achieve "Goal Zero" incidents, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, provide technical support, and conduct regular site visits to ensure service quality.
- Drive revenue through efficient cost management and budget adherence, achieving EBITDA targets.
- Lead and coach the sales team to meet KPIs, grow the customer base, and oversee pricing strategy.
- Build a high-performing, engaged team, providing direction, support, and performance management.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 3-5 years in a management role within manufacturing or distribution.
- Strong background in a made-to-order manufacturing setting.
- Leadership experience with a proven record of driving change and operational results.
- In-depth knowledge of the steel industry, including markets and trends.
- Proficient in people management, safety engagement, and communication.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification (business, management, engineering) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in Business Development Management or related roles.
- Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management preferred.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of building practices and construction drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office and order processing systems.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
