**Recreational Activities Officer**

**Classification**: Permanent Part-Time
- **Location**: IRT St Georges Basin- If you are passionate and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of older Australians, come and join our fantastic IRT team today. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 12 hours per week, at either our IRT Culburra or IRT St Georges Basin site, or across both if interested.- This extremely rewarding role will contribute to the activity offerings for residents to enhance their life and sense of security, companionship, fun and relaxation.- The primary purpose of this role is to assist our residents on bus trips, facilitate onsite activities, including bingo, floor bowls etc. and work alongside our supportive Lifestyle Team.**Perks**:

**To be successful you will have**:

- A qualification in an appropriate field such as Certificate IV Leisure and Health (or be willing to obtain complementary via the IRT Academy)
- Initiative and creative flair
- Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work as part of a team and be able to prioritise work
- Willingness to work on the weekends is also a requirement for the role
- Have the ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
