Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioners (with Relocation Assistance to Broome, WA) role at Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS).
BRAMS is a well-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service serving the Broome community for over 40 years, focusing on culturally secure, person-centred primary health care and wellbeing programs. This newly created role reports to the Senior Medical Officer and leads advanced clinical care services within the primary healthcare clinic.
Responsibilities
Deliver culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with the BRAMS Model of Care
Conduct independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making
Prescribe medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List and authorised SASAs
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic investigations
Manage recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes
Collaborate across departments and multidisciplinary teams
Lead and contribute to quality improvement activities and clinical audits
Participate in clinical governance and safeguarding practices for children and young people
About You / Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
Demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting
Experience or interest in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (desirable)
Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management
Strong communication across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams
Cultural humility and willingness to learn in an Aboriginal health context
Collaborative approach and ability to adapt to a diverse service environment
Benefits
Base pay range: A$150,000.00/yr – A$165,000.00/yr
