As a Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing consultation and group supervision as well as a range of professional development services to assist SYC employment services sites.
We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and qualified Counsellor to join our team and help achieve sustainable and compliant participant outcomes
This position will be working across our Southern Adelaide sites**:Gawler Place, Glenelg, Christies Beach, Goolwa, Marion **and** Mount Barker.**
In this role, you'll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of wellbeing, foster referral relationships, and provide quality therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups. Day to day activities will include:
- Creating and maintaining relationship with key employees to generate referrals.
- Ensuring quality professional practice in the development and provision of services to meet established KPI's.
- Performing collaborative assessments and interventions for clients.
- Providing 'value add' generalist counselling and Case Management support with a focus on supporting clients to gain and sustain employment and convene case conferences
- Providing consultation and feedback to team members on interventions, referrals and operational matters whilst maintaining client confidentiality.
- Providing coaching, guidance and support to other staff as directed.
**About You...**
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, developing case plans and case notes and report writing.
- Self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems.
- Previous experience working effectively within a multi-disciplinary framework and as part of a broader team to deliver quality services and collaboratively achieve participant outcomes.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**For this role, you will need to**:
- Have a minimum degree or graduate diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counselling) is essential.
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Have a current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4-5 star ANCAP safety rating
- Be eligible to work in Australia
