The position also provides high level spatial support and advice, assisting the team across a range of tasks including the development of habitat modelling, database management and development, as well as in fulfilling ad hoc requests for maps, analysis, and spatial statistics.
**As the Principal GIS Analyst (PO4) you will**: - Design, develop, implement and manage key aspects of GIS projects with a strong focus on contemporary project management principles. Consult with team staff to identify requirements, conduct needs analysis, design, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain a wide variety of decision support tools with strong working experience in contemporary GIS analysis techniques and methodologies including geoprocessing and cartographic standards. Foster effective working relationships with key stakeholders regarding team commitments, project plans, project deliverables and emerging issues and provide specialist GIS support with respect to strategic advice and recommendations,reports, dataset management and cartographic products. Analyse, design, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain spatial and nonspatial hardware and software systems. Prepare presentations, complex reports, briefings, technical reports, and other correspondence whilst adapting the content to meet audience needs. Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
