**About the role**

The** Mechanical Fitter (Rotating shift roster)**role**is a** Full-time**position, based at **Springvale, Victoria.** Reporting to the** Production Manager**at our Rooftile Manufacturing site**,**you will be working Monday to Friday on a rotating roster (morning: 5.45am-2pm, Afternoon: 1.45pm-10pm) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, **Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate** or **Boilermaker Certificate**, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Operating machine.
- Covering operator meal breaks.
- Participating in profile changeovers.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by the Maintenance Planner or Shift Supervisor.
- Replace parts as required.
- Working with a small cleaning crew with a supervisor.
- High speed machinery - 120 tiles per minute.
- Mechanical **Fitting**, maintenance related to conveyors, stacking plant, cranes, drives, polycord conveyors, bearings rollers etc.
- Fabrication-Simple stick and **MiG** **welding**:

- Machine tools - Occasional use of **milling** machine, **lathe** and **pedestal drill**.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
