Job Summary:
A high-profile opportunity has arisen to lead the development and execution of a strategic category management plan. This pivotal role will shape our global procurement strategy across key indirect categories, driving value creation and cost optimisation.
About the Role:
Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with business priorities.
Take ownership of sourcing, commercial negotiations, and programme optimisation for Professional Services, HR, Travel, and Contingent Labour.
Act as a strategic partner to senior business leaders, identifying emerging business needs and shaping sourcing plans accordingly.
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring strong source-to-contract governance.
Deliver cost savings, productivity improvements, and value creation outcomes across the EBS portfolio.
Provide leadership and mentoring to a high-performing team, championing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with GSA leadership on planning, sourcing, budgeting, and performance tracking initiatives.
Travel internationally to engage with stakeholders and suppliers in various regions.
Requirements:
5–10 years of procurement leadership experience with deep expertise in Professional Services, HR, Travel, and Contingent Labour.
Demonstrated track record in delivering cost savings, driving supplier performance, and optimising sourcing strategies.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement best practices with global exposure.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse functions and geographies.
Proven experience in managing complex contracts, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional initiatives.
Strong commercial acumen, governance awareness, and change management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent). MCIPS, ISM preferred.
Familiarity with contingent workforce technologies and solutions is highly desirable.
