**About the role**

Cocoon SDA Care is a fast-growing, innovative, and dynamic organisation. We are seeking Casual Disability Support Workers who seek a role that is committed to your training and growth. We are seeking experienced staff who will assist in supporting participants with high complex behaviour and high-level medical needs. You will work in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) or SDA to provide people with high complex support needs an opportunity to live in an environment that supports and maximises personal growth and independence.

**About you**

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience providing support to participants with high complex behavior and/or high medical and/or complex needs and have the following skills and attributes:

- Minimum 12 months relevant experience in the above-mentioned fields of expertise
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, or Individual Support or nursing or higher
- Experience within the industry (eg. working with disability, mental health, high medical needs, aged care, individual support, NDIS Management etc.)
- Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in the record management - Compliance and safety is our No.1
- Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required.
- Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Orientation, COVID Infection Control, NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check, National Police Check are essential. We can provide other specialised training to meet gaps such as a quality Induction and Medication Administration and other Specialised training.
- Current Open Driver's Licence (**mandatory**).
