**_About the Role:_**

Our client is a large tier 2 family orientated civil contractor with projects all around Brisbane. The major projects they are recruiting for currently are based at Morayfield (North) & Ripley (West).

As a Crew Leader & Pipe Layer, you will play a crucial role in our projects by effectively planning and organizing daily works. You will be responsible for coordinating plant, labour, and material resources to ensure efficient pipe laying operations. Mentoring and training crew members in pipe laying techniques will also be an important part of your role.

Compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements is a top priority, and you will strive to exceed program targets. Additionally, you will liaise with management, client representatives, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.

The ability to read design drawings and specifications, as well as review drawings to identify services, is essential.

You will be responsible for setting out works to line, level, and grade, using rotating lasers and pipe lasers. Other tasks include excavation, trench design, drainage pipe installation, pit and headwall installation, backfilling, compacting trenches, and performing manual handling tasks.

Finally, maintaining accurate records by completing daily diaries, dockets, and measure sheets is a critical part of this role.

- _

To be successful in this role:

- have a minimum of 3 years of pipe laying experience
- experience in TMR/Road Drainage projects being highly desirable
- a valid white card
- a driver's license is required
- Trade qualifications as a plumber/drainer will be **highly regarded**:

- Additional tickets, such as Dogman, Excavator, and Confined Space, will be advantageous.
