Reporting to the Manager : Geology, you'll lead people and processes to ensure optimal gold ore production, support ongoing resource development, and embed a culture of continuous improvement and safety.Your key responsibilities will include :Leading and mentoring a team of geologists and contractors to deliver on daily plans while meeting operational and safety targetsDriving team performance by providing accurate, predictive geological models to maximise recovery and minimise dilutionOverseeing and enhancing grade control reconciliation processes (daily to annual)Championing near-mine and in-mine exploration programs to support Life of Mine extension and resource growth - both RC and Diamond drillingEnsuring the integrity and reliability of geological mapping, modelling, and reporting systemsApplying strategic insight and technical expertise to reduce geological risk and improve model confidenceFostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence in geological operationsAbout YouYou'll also bring :Proven leadership capability with experience motivating high-performing geology teamsA degree in Geology or a related disciplineStrong background in open pit gold mining, with expertise in mine geology, grade control, resource estimation, and extensional explorationProficiency in Microsoft Office and geological software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog)A passion for safety, continuous improvement, and building a performance-driven cultureAt Gold Fields, we expect all employees to embody and enhance our values, safety culture, and performance, aligning with our purpose of creating enduring value beyond mining.Applications can be submitted via : https : / / careers.goldfields.com / AustraliaGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
