**What the day will look like**

Play an important role on the Commercial Risk and Global Corporate Leadership teams as well as having people management responsibility for a placement team focused on Aon's large client segment and Industry verticals. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining a strong Placement Team strategy and collaboration mentality.

The Head of Placement, Global Corporate will be responsible for the delivery of our client and carrier engagement strategies for all lines of business and across our large client segment.

Further responsibilities will include
- Working closely with the Placement Head for National & Affinity as well as Specialty Solutions. Between these leaders they will have responsibility for delivering all areas of Commercial Risk to these Client Delivery Segments along side our Head of Product Delivery who is focused on product capability to support our placement teams.
- Refine, build and measure our Go to Market Strategies (GTMS) for Global Corporate and working closely with the Head of Strategic Platforms to deliver broader capability & adoption of our GTMS
- Implementing and driving our market engagement strategies, being a face of Aon in the market at a senior leadership level allowing for a more robust escalation framework
- Lead Australia's engagement of the Global Broking Centres ensuring appropriate resource and service levels across all product teams
- Driving innovation and standard methodology including driving improved connectivity with all areas of Commercial Risk to drive improved client experience and outcomes, with a focus on delivering new access to capital in line with the core strategic goals of Commercial Risk globally.
- Lead our Market Insights thought leadership with responsibility for market updates and internal product training alongside our dedicated technical team. They will also help carrier partners navigate Aon via tools such as the Aon Carrier Days.
- Co-ordinate the broader placement team in an overarching risk transfer strategy as well as playing an active part in the strategy and negotiation of client risks within our Global Corporate & Specialty Solutions segments
- Create and champion a culture of sharing insights with clients, carriers and colleagues from Aon's data & analytics platforms to help drive better and more informed decision making. This should include assisting with the build of more robust data capture methods.

Within Commercial Risk, we will bring the content, capability and innovation to support the client delivery teams such as Affinity, Global Corporate, Specialty Solutions and the National Segments. This clear separation of tasks and capability will allow our client delivery teams to bring all areas of the firm to our clients whilst allowing our solution line colleagues to focus on delivering new and expanded capability and innovation, leveraging our global connectivity.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

The Head of Placement, Global Corporate must possess strong product knowledge and experience across the major product lines and have (or have the ability to build) strong relationships with senior leaders across the industry.

You will also possess the following:

- Proven track record in being able to clearly articulate an insurer engagement strategy
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills as well as strong personality that can work in a constantly evolving and fluid role
- Robust insurer network at all levels and ability to communicate and negotiate well with insurers
- Have the resilience to deal with conflict and achieve resolution when resistance is present
- Exposure to Captive structures and sophisticated placements as well as good knowledge of the International hubs of London and Singapore
- The individual will need to ensure they are constantly updating and expanding their Aon IQ and being capable of "storytelling" and connecting internal colleagues and clients.
