**The Opportunity**

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Buyer/Planner to join our site operations procurement team on a permanent ongoing basis. Reporting to the Procurement Manager and based at our Broadmeadows Facility, you will ensure a continuous supply of direct materials for production working.

This role is not just putting through an order but closely coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain production of our life saving medication.

**The Role**:

- Place orders with suppliers according to Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in a SAP S/4HANA environment, negotiate delivery timeframes, obtaining confirmations to provide an uninterrupted supply of raw materials for Production
- Review MRP and important MRP parameters, expedite and de-expedite, communicating any delays to internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate supplier delivery dates and quantities and follow up past due orders
- Partner with suppliers (local & overseas), freight forwarders and internal stakeholders regarding delivery arrangements and documentation
- Process purchase requisitions to create purchase orders, and updating all purchase orders on continuous basis to ensure order accuracy
- Work with the Sourcing team to monitor supplier performance and build supplier relationships for key materials
- Build strong relationships with key internal customers to ensure our requirements are met and new opportunities are identified to continuously improve Procurement services

**Your skills and experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated expertise as a Buyer/Planner in a SAP environment
- Experience with MRP planning and inventory management
- Strong understanding key MRP planning parameters, along with advanced Excel skills
- 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG and/or pharmaceutical environment would be advantageous
