**About the Organisation**

**About the Opportunity**

The Community Participation Coordinator is responsible for developing, supervising and coordinating social activities, events and programs for older people, in line with relevant grant funding guidelines. The role has a strong focus on wellness and reablement and requires a strengths based approach that promotes healthy and active ageing and builds upon people's skills, abilities and interests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring activities, programs and events meet grant funding requirements
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key community stakeholders and support collaboration and partnership
- Regularly evaluating the suitability and relevance of existing programs and activities, and exercising initiative to make recommendations for future programs
- Actively seeking and suggesting ways to improve outcomes

**About You**

You will be passionate about achieving the best outcomes for our community clients by increasing social connectivity and inclusion. You will be highly self-motivated, with outstanding time management and organisational skills. Essential criteria include:

- A tertiary qualification in Community Development, Community Services or Social Work
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet set deadlines
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team

You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
