Plant Metallurgist

The main responsibilities of the role include:Support the operational team with technical information and direction, including problem solving and target setting;Ensure production is maintained to specification and meeting planned production rates;Maintain the metallurgical accounting and complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements;Identify and implement projects to improve plant performance; andConduct plant surveys and trials as required to optimise performance.This is a permanent, full-time position, working an attractive roster (8 days on, 6 days off), located in Greenbushes, offered as either DIDO or residential.About the CandidateWe are looking for safety focused, proactive and positive individuals who are willing to learn to join the processing team in the role of Plant Metallurgist.To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:a tertiary qualification in Extractive Metallurgy or equivalent is necessary;minimum of 3 years experience;a willingness to contribute toward the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture;Benefits of working with TalisonThe benefits of working with Talison are many and include:multiple plants to learn with a wide range of processing equipment;be a part of a supporting and collaborative Metallurgical team;flexible working environment;income protection insurance;life Insurance for company superannuation employees;competitive parental leave policy;salary sacrifice options for remote area housing, motor vehicles and superannuation; andparticipation in site performance-based quarterly incentive scheme.About Talison Lithium:Talison supports many of the community projects, groups and sporting events our employees are involved in.
