The portfolio focuses on all aspects of listings - their content, presentation, and the platform technology that enables scalable, high-quality experiences, primarily (but not exclusively) for the brand.The Native Capabilities team's mission is to "Empower experience building squads to work faster and operate autonomously through high leverage platform technology".
We do this by building and maintaining Nautilus Capabilities that app teams rely on to deliver features efficiently and consistently across platforms.What the role is all aboutContributing to technical discovery, design, implementation of different platform capabilitiesProvide support for teams that's using Nautilus in their experiences ( this includes bug fixing, migration, custodianship support and training)Create and maintain technical documentationConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersSupport custodianship efforts that contribute to apps as part of Native platformContribute to weekly release process as build Zar & regression testing support based on a rosterMentor and guide other engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellenceLearning and contributing to the tech community.
We are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things betterContribute to team agile ceremoniesWho we're looking forExpertise in native iOS development using Swift with a strong grasp of Apple's frameworks, runtime, and tooling beyond UI layers.Deep understanding of iOS application architecture patterns (modularisation, dependency management, thread safety, memory management, background execution).
Added advantage - experience building internal platform capabilities such as authentication, logging, analytics, networking etcComfortable in collaborating with Android engineers to deliver consistent capabilitiesExperience / interest in contributing to both iOS and AndroidBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)The REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we'll never stop caring about.
