Project Mechanical And Piping Engineer

OverviewAmplitude Energy (AEL) is seeking to appoint a Project Mechanical and Piping Engineer to support key upgrades and maintenance projects across our Victorian assets.
You will oversee all stages of the project lifecycle, including engineering assessments, scope development, shutdown support, and asset integrity planning for both fixed equipment (such as piping, pressure vessels, and exchangers) and rotating machinery.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage mechanical scopes for projects across fixed and rotating equipmentDrive compliance with regulatory standards (API, ASME, AS, etc.) and AEL internal systemsPerform failure investigations and develop strategies to prevent recurrenceSupport inspections, shutdowns, repairs and upgrades through technical planning and executionDevelop technical specifications, manage contractor deliverables, and contribute to procurement decisionsSupport Management of Change (MoC) processes and project risk assessmentsEnsure project delivery aligns with safety, quality and performance expectationsAbout YouDegree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with project experience in the oil and gas or similar industry7 plus years' experience in oil & gas, energy or heavy industryRPEV registered (Mechanical)Strong knowledge of pressure equipment, piping systems, and rotating machineryFamiliar with API, ASME, and Australian standardsExperienced across design, execution, and QA/QC inspectionStrong communicator with demonstrated ability to liaise across operations, maintenance and external stakeholdersAbility and willingness to travel to site regularlyAbout UsAmplitude Energy is proud to source, develop and produce domestic natural gas that will bridge the gap between renewable energy supply and consumer demand for Australia's energy future.
