**Overview**

The purpose of the reporting analyst role is to meet all regulatory reporting requirements for Link Market Services' clients. The analyst will prepare, analyse, reconcile, and submit all regulatory reporting to the ATO and/or other government mandated authority. Responsibilities extend to project management of EOFY employee statement mailing, and other pre-reporting and due diligence activities on a yearly basis. The role will also support the overall team in identifying and analysing changes to existing legislation impacting regulatory reporting and assist in scoping and testing system enhancements prior to release.

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Prepare and co-ordinate the electronic lodgement of the reports to the ATO and/or other government mandated entity. Employee share scheme (ESS), Transfer of shares and units (CGT), Annual investment income return (AIIR), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
- Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of validations / reconciliations and ensuring outputs are analysed for accuracy
- Partner with IT to better understand technical aspects of the system to resolve reporting related issues
- Raise change requests where enhancements are identified.
- Support the overall team in identifying and analysing changes to existing legislation and their potential impact to our processes and systems
- Project management of pre-reporting activities and ESS FY statements and Due Diligence mailings.
- Ensuring that specifications arising from change are rigorously tested in test environment.
- Preparing dashboard reporting of key metrics for senior management.
- Follow reporting procedures to prepare, run, reconcile and document all reporting lodged with the ATO;
- Prepare billing for client reporting.
- Providing training and participating in workshops with business units and stakeholders that contribute to the reporting process across Link Market Services
- Assisting with audits, reviews, questionnaires, and queries.
- Incident & process error analysis, creating and carrying out rectification plans
- To escalate issues, concerns and opportunities arising from the above to the Reporting Manager.

- Business analyst and/or finance experience is desirable
- An understanding of tax legislation and compliance & regulatory issues.
- A background or understanding of ATO Reporting requirements
- Experience in testing methodologies desirable.
- Experience or at least an understanding in the use of an IT change methodology.
- Tertiary level studies is preferred but not required.
