Our OpportunityWork Location: Solomon - Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 8D6R7N7R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, our Solomon operations are seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced Mining Coordinator.
These positions will be responsible for the management and coordination of plant and human resources to meet or exceed the mine plan in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities Provide input into mine planning processes to ensure practicality of mining plans Provide visible Fortescue Values leadership (lead by example) modelling and compliance with Fortescue Code of Conduct behaviours Provide and maintain safe systems of work in mining operational areas Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and provide effective feedback to work teams Coach, mentor and develop Mining Supervisors Manage short interval control process to drive Supervisor compliance to the mine plan Ensure compliance with HR management policies and procedures (leave, injury management, performance, etc.) Qualifications and Experience Minimum 3 years supervision in large scale mining environment Ability to interpret and deliver to 24-hour and 2-week mine plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Ticket (desired not essential) WA Class HR Driver's Licence About UsBe part of something big.
