**About the role**
We're looking for a Communications Specialist/ Publicist to join our vibrant and dynamic Publicity team. Reporting to the Publicity Manager within the Marketing Division, the Communications Specialist/ Publicist will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of strategic communications campaigns across SBS channels for a variety of SBS programs Love the _FIFA World Cup_ and _Tour de France_? Crazy About _Eurovision_? Obsessed with the latest season of _The Handmaid's Tale?_ Passionate about Australian doco series like _Australia Uncovered, See What You Made Me Do, Who Do You Think You Are? _Fixated with Insight? This is just a snapshot of the kind of diverse and entertaining content you could be working on at SBS.
- You'll have solid experience implementing effective publicity and communications campaigns.
- A passion for content, news and current affairs.
- An established network of media contacts and a broad general knowledge of SBS content as well as broad and demonstrated understanding of news issues, social themes and television industry trends.
- The ability to collaborate with talent, producers, and internal teams to secure coverage in a wide range of media.
- A highly effective writer and communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Your outstanding organisational skills will be displayed as you coordinate numerous projects simultaneously whilst ensuring deadlines are met.
- A demonstrated ability in managing complex issues, event and photographic shoot experience and a high level of internal and external stakeholder management skills is highly desired.
- The Communications Specialist is responsible for undertaking their work in a way that reflects SBS's Charter, Vision and Values and complies with relevant SBS policies, procedures and practices.
