We are looking for experienced Roll Maker

Our team at Niji sushi bar is committed to deliver exciting and memorable dining experiences as well as you can enjoy a casual sushi train menus. You will directly report to our head chef/sous chef, your previous experience and ability to work in a busy Japanese restaurant will help you succeed in this role.

You will;
- Prepare your working station before opening, including cooking rice.
- Making rolls for the sushi train and the ala Carte menu.
- Preparation of fresh ingredients according to the menu.
- Following and maintaining OH & S procedures in the kitchen
- Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Regulating temperatures of fridge and freezers.
- Presentation, plating of portioning food, and adding sauces and garnishes

**Key selection criteria**
- Advanced sushi skills or Japanese kitchen skills
- Experience in a similar position in a Japanese restaurant
- Have the knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Ability to maintain the standards under pressure and multitasking
- Have a good communication skill

Experience working in a modern Japanese Restaurant will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Japanese restaurant as a chef and must have pride and passion towards every aspect of the hospitality business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Apprenticeship
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour
