How you will make an impact

We are seeking a Pastoral Practitioner to join our Pastoral Services team to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, residents and staff. This is a casual role with possibility of becoming permanent part time and operates across all campuses.

You will participate in the planning, delivery and management of evidence-based spiritual and/or emotional care by:
- Working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred spiritual and emotional care that addresses the needs of patients and provides anticipatory grief and bereavement support to families- Collaborating with other health professionals to establish goals that are clear and measurable- Undertaking spiritual assessment and planning, delivering, documenting and monitoring the response to spiritual interventions for patients with more complex needs- Reflecting with the patient on their experience and evaluating whether the intervention has met their spiritual need- Adhering to the Cabrini codes of professional conduct, code of ethics, standards of practice and competencies, Mission, Values and Vision and Behaviours that Matter

What you will need to be successful in the role

Along with your warmth, empathy and excellent listening skills, you will also have:
- Completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)- Experience in clinical pastoral practice area- Have a passion for providing excellent, holistic and person-centred pastoral care in a multi-faith setting- Enjoy working as a member of an interdisciplinary care team and also working autonomously- Be approachable, confident in your knowledge and skills and open to further learning and professional development- Ability to reflect on self and pastoral practice- Must have intermediate computer skills and be competent in documentation and reporting requirements
