As a Youth Employment Coach, you will actively support young people to secure sustainable employment.The Transition to Work (TtW) program provides intensive pre-employment support to improve the work readiness of young people and to help them into work (including apprenticeships or traineeships) or education.
In this role, you'll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of wellbeing, independence, and opportunity for everyone.
Day to day activities will include:Manage the end-to-end process of a caseload of young peopleActively engage with both employers and young peopleDevelop an appropriate job planProvide intensive, individual pre-employment supportDevelop and maintain strong links with local businesses and education/training providersAbout YouIn this role, you will be able to apply your positive and outcome driven attitude to support young people in securing sustainable employment outcomes.
You will be a great team-player to deliver quality services and collaboratively achieve client outcomes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:Experience working with disengaged young people, ability to build rapport that leads to successful outcomesAbility to communicate, liaise and build networks with schools, education, employment/industry, and community agencies in a professional mannerResults driven, passionate about performance and able to meet/exceed KPIsDemonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to understand appropriate behaviours with young people, and young people with diverse needs and/or backgrounds.Key screening requirements: Working with Children Check and National Police CheckBe eligible to work in AustraliaAdditional benefitsAdditional day off to celebrate your Birthday*Salary package up to $15,900 each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year, plus additional salary packaging of $2,650 towards meals and accommodation.Access an additional one week of paid leave each year, through SYC loyalty leave*Discounted Corporate Private Health CoverEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellbeing leave *Qualifying periods and terms apply.
