**The Company**
Our client is a multinational agricultural trading business, with offices based in Australia, Canada and Singapore. They source a broad range of Australian produce direct from growers across the East Coast and trades into a number of domestic and export markets. They have developed strong end-user networks in South East Asia, India and the Middle East and continue to expand their market opportunities.

**The Position**
Working closely with the business directors, as Grain Trader you will assist them with accumulation and sourcing from growers across New South Wales and Queensland and seek market opportunities to sell into. You will assist with sourcing a broad range of grains, oilseeds and stockfeed to meet customer demand, and be responsible for ensuring the ongoing supply of raw material and customer orders. You will focus on working with growers, ensuing year-round consultation at a farm gate level and ensure you are across market trends and opportunities.

You will deal with a variety of stakeholders, including transport, growers, traders and end users, and be responsible for developing and supporting business strategies to target growth at both an accumulation and sales point. You will play a key part in developing and executing a trading strategy within the business and be part of driving our client's business forward.

**The Person**
To be successful in this role you will ideally:

- Experience in agricultural commodity trading or logistics for 3+ years
- Exposure in a suitable industry such as grains/dairy/feedstock procurement
- An understanding of supply and demand across agricultural commodities
- The ability to liaise and communicate with producers, storage and handlers and transport operators.
- Comfortable working in a team based environment but capable of working autonomously and independently when required
