Overview Respect Aged Care are currently seeking a caring, organised, and motivated Social Care Assistant to join our team at Derwent Views in Tasmania.
This is a permanent, part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with older people and making a meaningful impact on their daily lives.

Role Overview The Social Care Assistant is responsible for facilitating a variety of individual, group, and community-based lifestyle activities tailored to the physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of our residents.
You will play a key role in promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and enjoyment within the home.
Qualifications Essential:Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or a related disciplineCurrent National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Empathy and sensitivity towards residents from diverse backgroundsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamStrong communication skills when engaging with residents, families, staff, and visitors Key Duties & Responsibilities Document social profiles of new residents and assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individual social care plansContribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of group and individual activitiesMaintain and manage resources for the activities programPrepare and distribute newsletters, activity notices, and related correspondenceSupport the Social Care Co-Ordinator and General Manager in coordinating and supervising volunteersUndertake other appropriate duties aligned with your skills, as directed by the organisation What We Offer A meaningful role where you can positively impact the lives of older AustraliansSupportive team culture within a purpose-driven organisationOngoing training and development opportunities
