With the growth of our manufacturing plant we are looking for a Senior Process Technician to join our team based in Moranbah.
You will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and optimizing plant processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
Working as part of a collaborative operations team, you will support day-to-day plant activities, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include: · Operate plant systems and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety protocols · Monitor process variables and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance · Perform routine inspections, data logging, and control system surveillance · Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or equipment faults · Assist in shutdown, startup, and emergency response procedures · Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support reliability and continuous improvement · Ensure compliance with Platinum's health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards · Maintain accurate shift reports and handovers Our ideal candidate would have: · Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (preferred) · Experience working in a heavy chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing plant (preferred) · Familiarity with control systems and process instrumentation · Strong awareness of process safety and risk management · Mechanical aptitude and sound troubleshooting skills · Ability to work in a shift-based rosters Desirable Attributes A proactive and safety-conscious mindset Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence Resilience and adaptability in a high-risk industrial environment Who is Platinum Blasting Services: We've grown to become one of the leading blasting providers in the Australian mining industry, and we're not stopping there.
