**The Role**
Our Home Care services empower older people to live at home independently and safely. You will take the lead to support and provide individualised care tailored to the needs of each client and their families.
**This is a casual role, with the view to permanent and will cover a variety of shifts, so you must be available and flexible within the hours of 08.00 - 17.00 ideally.**
**You will be servicing our clients in and around the Nepean and Blue Mountains and must be able to travel to this area on a regular basis.**
Your role will include:
- Domestic assistance, including cleaning, washing and care of pets
- Meal assistance, including shopping, meal preparation and help with eating
- Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments
- Social support & activities, including outings and social activities
- Personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing and toileting
- Provide support for health conditions, including skin care, medication reminders and diabetes management
- Assistance with mobility including using mechanical lifting aids
***About you**
To be a Home Care provider you will be of a compassionate and supportive nature to assist our elderly clients to live as independently as possible at home, listening to their individual needs and tailoring the services to achieve their best possible living standards.
In addition, you will have:
- A desire to help improve the lives of the elderly and their families
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and an empathy with older people
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Disability Support or related field or willing to study
- Prior experience in a similar role in the community/home care
- Current driver's license and car with comprehensive insurance
- Time management skills
- Ability to work with mínimal to no supervision
- Able to provide evidence of Covid-19 and flu vaccinations
