As the Associate Director for our Compliance Business & Private Banking (B&PB) Distribution & Private Wealth team, you will provide 2nd line compliance advice to the relevant 1st line teams in respect of insights, advice, and guidance. You will review and challenge the Group's Compliance Framework and policies and standards and work collegiately with the broader CRO teams.

**Your key accountabilities will include**:
Providing a mixture of advice and guidance and review and challenge to support the implementation of NAB's Compliance framework within relevant business areas including:

- Risk based review and challenge to ensure that compliance obligations have been identified, managed, and assessed via the appropriate control environment and monitored and reported as required.
- Provision of insight and guidance to relevant business areas on Compliance related issues, risks and events including regulatory initiated change and business-initiated change. This includes contributing to 2nd line risk reports on current and emerging compliance and regulatory risk matters.
- Uplifting compliance capability by raising awareness of key compliance obligations and frameworks, policies
- Assisting in the execution of the Compliance strategic plan

**Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include**:

- Demonstrable knowledge of risk management and Compliance disciplines, preferably within B&PB and/or Wealth
- Confidence in working across and engaging directly with Executive level staff and Leadership Teams
- Resiliency, adaptability, and comfort in working autonomously, noting that a portion of this role will involve managing unplanned requests with short turn
- around time
- Ability to work as a trusted colleague in a team structure, with a demonstrated execution ethic
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to be effective in a change environment
- An innovative and creative mindset and a preparedness to pitch ideas and alternate concepts / solutions to problems and to undertake design work to prove out these solutions
- Proven experience in risk/compliance
