AYAN InfoTech is looking for SAP Data Migration Architect to join an exciting project based in Melbourne . The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancement projects.
Role : SAP Data Migration Architect
Location : Melbourne
Contract Duration : 6 to 12 Months with high possible extensions
Experience : 7+ Years
Summary :
SAP Data Migration Architect with deep expertise in SAP BODS, SAP IS-U, and end-to-end data migration processes including data mapping, transformation, loading, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have successfully led or contributed to at least three SAP IS-U data migration projects and possess a strong background in enterprise data architecture and governance.
Required Skills & Experience :
15+ years of overall experience in data architecture, migration, and management.
Proven experience in at least 3 successful SAP IS-U data migration projects.
Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
Deep understanding of SAP IS-U data structures and business processes.
Proficiency in data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation techniques.
Experience with utilities industry data and regulatory requirements is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the design and execution of SAP IS-U data migration strategies and plans.
Architect and implement data migration solutions using SAP BODS and other relevant tools.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define data mapping and transformation rules.
Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous reconciliation and validation processes.
Develop and maintain migration documentation including data models, mapping specifications, and test plans.
Manage data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading activities across legacy and target systems.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data migration teams.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
Support cutover planning and execution for data migration phases.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
