**Overview**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Assistant to join our team at the Waikerie Residential Care Home where, working under limited supervision, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting residents with toileting and continence management
- Helping with feeding and maintaining mobility/dexterity through transferring and lifting, including the use of mechanical aids
- Undertaking bed making, cleaning equipment and utensils, and distributing clean laundry and personal attire
- Providing input into resident assessments, recording observations, and identifying diversional therapy needs
- Completing routine documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures

**Essential Criteria**
- AQF Certificate III in Aged Care or a related field
- Experience working with aged, frail, or disabled persons
- Ability to perform tasks under limited direction and work effectively within a team
- Strong communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to resident confidentiality and displaying empathy towards the elderly
- Willingness to develop positive relationships with residents and their families

**Applicant Information**

This vacancy is for multiple casual positions, working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked on a casual shift by shift basis.
