**About the roles**:
As a Sample Preparer with Bureau Veritas Minerals, you will be manually processing and handling mining samples, in what is a critical first step of their analysis. You will rotate through a variety of tasks including sorting and the operation of various crushing and pulverising/milling machinery.

As a Fire Assayer you will be responsible for weighing samples for analysis, fluxing, firing, knock-up and cupellation of samples, picking prill for digest, ensure correct procedures are used and adhered to, ensure housekeeping is performed, follow OH&S procedure and working as a team member.

Previous laboratory experience will be considered favourably but it is not required. We will train you to safely and efficiently perform your tasks.

**Requirements**:

- Be physically fit, able to work standing for an entire shift
- Able to pass drug screening and physical assessments
- Closely follow safety and quality standards
- Have sound reading and numerical skills
- Be reliable and able to work shift work on a rotating roster
- A basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and grow will be considered favourably.

**Roster available**:
12 hour rotating shift roster (Days and Nights) - Working a 7 day fortnight.

All applicants who work within the Sample Preparation department will have the opportunity to move to Permanent full time employment.

Please note that as part of the recruitment experience you must be able to pass a comprehension, numerical and literacy test as well as a full Medical, Drug and Alcohol test.
