**The role**

This entry level, **permanent, full-time opportunity**, you will conduct compliance testing of construction materials relevant to the cement manufacturing process.

The role requires availability from **Monday to Friday** with a rotating weekend roster, **working some Saturdays 7am till 11am at overtime rates**.

- Please note that this role does require some physical movement and lifting._

This role offers variety, working on the below rotations. You will receive full training in the below:

- ** Sample Prep**: Preparing all samples for testing through such techniques as riffling, drying, crushing, grinding and weighing and registering all testing samples in the Laboratory Data Management System.
- ** Mortar Testing**: Testing the strength, shrinkage and sulfate resistance characteristics as well as the temperature rise, setting time and soundness determinations of cement, fly ash, slag and lime materials.
- ** Concrete Making and Testing**: Making concrete to the Australian standard to investigate and test the strength, shrinkage, setting times, bleed, air content, mass per unit volume.
- ** Chemical Laboratory**: Testing all materials for varied chemical characteristics.

**What you will need to succeed**
- Pass a medical including a drug & alcohol test.
- National Police check.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and the environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously and within a small team.
- Strong literacy and computer skills.
