- Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world's leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. **Your responsibilities will include**:
- We are seeking dedicated engineers to ensure aircraft and associated components are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards. Responsible for the work they perform and are required to endorse all maintenance and General Aviation Task (if required) completed in the aircraft continuing airworthiness record system and supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of their authorisation.
- The role responsibilities include the following:
- Perform Task Sign-off of Maintenance within the scope of authorisation,
- Ability to analyse and assess to determine actions must not proceed past any point in the task where an Error Capture (EC) or Supervisor inspection is required,
- Monitor and only use approved and serviceable tools, ground equipment, test equipment and materials,
- Maintain Adherence to tool control procedures in accordance with AFCAMAN, Book IV, Chapter 8 - Tool Control and local procedures,
- Ensuring that authorised data are used, and that authorised data is:
- complete, correct, applicable, approved and adequate for the task
- in close proximity to the aircraft or component being maintained
- in good condition
- Monitor and ensure all serviceability criteria for components and parts are met in accordance with the relevant authorised data before fitment
- Analyse and evaluate the adequacy and efficiency of maintenance activities and proposing changes as required
- Support preparing and submitting defective or surplus components and material for return to stores
- Undertake completion and submission of associated documentation for support equipment where applicable
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Participate in the PBED process.
- Perform a work area examination during and on completion of all maintenance
- Monitor and ensure all follow-on maintenance requirements have been identified and documented.
**About you**:
- To be successful you will have the following:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances)
- Good working knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASR's
- Sound understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
- Good understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance.
**Special Requirements**:
- Applicants are required to be able to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Force security clearance.
- Applicants must be able to satisfy the US Government ITAR and EXIM requirements.
- Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
- This role will be based at Holsworthy, NSW.
