**We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to fill a casual position. This role may include some administrative (i.e. scanning) functions.**
**Please keep in mind that as a casual employee, there is no guarantee of ongoing or regular work.**
Fast-paced General Practice in the Inner-West (Your Doctors) with three sites is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist. **Flexibility is essential** **to accommodate the needs of the practice** - availability to work evenings (Approx 6.30PM finishes), Saturday shift rotations (8AM-12.30PM) and cover shifts across sites is required. Own transport required.
**Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm and Saturday 8 - 12pm. Morning shifts commence at 7.45am. Evening shifts end at approxiamtely 6.30pm.**
**A minimum of two closing shifts per week is required and availability for rotating Saturday shifts is a must.**
**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Managing a large volume of telephone enquiries and making appointments using specialised software (Best Practice).
- Prioritising telephone and walk in presentations (triage).
- Meeting and greeting patients.
- Billing consultations using Best Practice software. Coordinating various administrative processes that support our clinical team.
- Liaising with medical practitioners, patients and other stakeholders. Clerical duties including data entry, photocopying, faxing, mail.
- Maintaining the presentation of the surgery.
**Minimum skills, knowledge, and experience required for the position**:
The ability to provide excellent customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience in working within an administrative team in a healthcare setting. Strong computer literacy. Experience with medical software such as Best Practice is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Maintaining confidentiality in all dealings with patient information. Driver's licence and own transport.
