OverviewOpportunity for an experienced Project Risk Manager to support the work of two of the Reserve Bank of Australia's key projects: the 65 Martin Place (65MP) Upgrade Project and the Payments Operations Program.
These projects deliver major construction works to upgrade the RBA's Head Office building in Sydney and uplift the systems and operational protocols supporting the RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the identification and effective management of risk throughout the project lifecycle, providing specialised advice on risk matters and verification to assist stakeholders with identification, documentation, logging, monitoring/tracking, and reporting of delivery and delivered risks, in line with the RBA Risk and Compliance Management Framework.Collaborate with the projects' Project Management Offices to ensure all relevant risks and mitigation actions are included in Steering Committee and status reports, producing forward-looking, timely risk reporting and standardising risk documentation processes.Assist executive leadership in fostering a risk-conscious culture among project teams and motivate a constructive, forward-thinking approach to risk management.Facilitate workshops to identify risks, manage risk registers, oversee mitigation actions and periodic reviews with project managers.Provide governance support for regular reporting to various forums and develop visual reports to enable effective management decision making and oversight in cooperation with the Project Directors.As a Project Risk Manager, you must demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in:Advanced knowledge of business risk and experience developing and implementing risk management plans and procedures on large-scale projects.Extensive experience in the management of project risks and reporting, 10 years +.
Ability to work with senior stakeholders to enhance risk capability within the organisation.Proven ability to produce visual and insightful risk reports for effective decision making and management oversight.Experience operating within a three lines of accountability model to support effective challenge and transparency.Proven experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships at a senior level.Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, construction and/or technology risk.Your teamYour role will formally report to the Project Director, 65MP Project and you will be an important part of both the 65MP and Payments Operations Project management teams.
