The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC is based 35km north-west of Toowoomba and plays a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
As NAC continues to progress, we are now seeking experienced CHPP Supervisors to join the CHPP Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, the CHPP Supervisor provides leadership and coordination to optimise the performance of the Coal Handling Processing Plant.

**What you will do**:

- Supervise CHPP operators and contractors to meet daily targets
- Monitor equipment performance and document as required
- Trouble shoot plant breakdowns and develop contingency plans
- Comply with site procedures to ensure safe and consistent delivery of the CHPP production targets
- Identify and contribute to CHPP improvement processes as required
- Comply with New Hope Group's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times

**To be considered for these opportunities you will bring**:

- Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fields
- Experience in CHPP or processing plant operations
- S123 and G2
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Computer literacy including Microsoft suite
- Strong safety focus with a demonstrated ability to promote and encourage safety

- A strong safety mindset with ability to actively identify and report hazards/incidents
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm to positively contribute to site culture and work as a team
- High attention to detail and precision in executing tasks
- Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical
- Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day / night roster including weekends and night shift
- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
