In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a **Floor Scheduler** to work in our longstanding DMSS (Defence Maintenance & Support Services) contract based at **Puckapunyal**, 10km west of Seymour.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operation and production to drive production efficiencies whilst encouraging and modelling safe work practices in our workshop.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday (12pm finishes on Fridays).

**Other duties involve**:

- Assisting with resource management
- Escalation for supervision of workshop sections across all trade and support staff.
- Maintain a highly diverse and focused team to achieve objectives in line with customer requirements.
- Proactively engage workforce to understand better ways of service delivery.
- Undertake audits and workplace inspections.
- Maintain Defence training records and coordinate nominations, travel and allowances.
- Maintain Quality management system to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Support site inductions and safety briefings
- Maintain and process on-call registers.
- HR and performance management support to site management
- Meet KPI's and SMP performance expectations through contract requirements.
- Mentor and develop subordinates.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Relevant experience as a Scheduler or similar.
- Technical trade background in Electrical or Mechanical highly desirable.
- Demonstrated employee management.
- Previous exposure to Union activity highly regarded.
- Understanding of projects desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Customer focused, a team player & relationship builder.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
