Due to rapid growth and expansion and off the back of our recent Series A capital raise, we are looking for an R&D Production Manager**.**
**Purpose of the role**
Reporting to our COO, you will be holistically responsible for the operations of our pre-commercial R&D processing lines and work closely with our Technology and Science Teams to ensure that this happens.
**Stuff we'll trust you with**
- The day-to-day running of our pre-commercial R&D processing lines
- Establish and document SOP's and protocols
- Organise the supply chain for feedstocks and consumables
- Prove the applied processes and the deployed processing technologies
- Ensure regulatory compliance for chemical handling, storage, and waste management (in close collaboration with our Technical Facility Manager)
- Engage with the Science, Technology and Operations teams for new product or technology developments or improvement potentials
- Set-up DOE's (Design of Experiments) and execute them
- Collect, analyse and interpret testing and measurement data and record observations
- Write technical reports on experimental results and analysis and communicate back to related stakeholders
- Project management, technical report review
**Top things that will make you successful**:
- Degree in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, or related chemical disciplines
- 6-8 years' experience working in the chemical or petrochemical industry in production/pilot plant management
- Self-starter with hands-on mentality
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of analytical chemistry related topics
- Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
- High level of problem solving and project management skills
- Strong ability to effectively function in a fast-paced, dynamic technical environment
- Customer service and interface experience, a plus
