Are you an experienced leader with a passion for facilities management? Southport Sharks is looking for a **Facilities & Maintenance Manager** to oversee the daily maintenance operations of our multi-faceted precinct. This position requires strong leadership, decisive decision-making skills, and a hands-on approach to maintain our facilities to an exemplary standard.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, motivate, and manage the Maintenance and Grounds team.
- Oversee the administration of systems, including MaintainX CMMS, BMS, and Uptick Fire.
- Manage the facilities budget and department P&L.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with WHS standards and building codes.
- Conduct bi-annual facility inspections and recommend improvements.
- Ensuring building compliance is proactively managed to ensure that all legislative requirements are adhered to at all times
- Undertaking regular re-tendering of service contracts including a review of specifications and role requirements taking into consideration best practice
- Daily on-site contractor management from obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders to ensuring works are completed within budget and on time
- Managing and maintaining the high standard presentation and day-to-day operations of the asset
- Undertake detailed routine site inspections and action any items requiring action
- Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, clients, contractors and colleagues
- Reviewing the monthly operating expenditure against budget
- Ensuring all planned preventative maintenance is executed in accordance with schedules and all plant and equipment is maintained to the very highest of standards
- Focus on sustainability improvements and adding value through efficiencies in the operations of the centres.
- Managing capital expenditure projects

**What we are looking for**:

- A formal trade qualification (preferred).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in managing the maintenance of large, multi-faceted operation.
- A proven track record of leading teams and delivering results.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with systems like MaintainX CMMS.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance.
- Familiarity with building codes, maintenance systems, and general trades.
- Proficiency in vendor contract management and negotiation.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act and WH&S policies.
