**About the Role**
Newington College seeks to appoint a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) Spanish and French Teacher commencing Term 1, 2025. The role will include teaching the IB Spanish ab Initio course.
We are looking for a teacher who prioritises authentic language learning, use of ICT and differentiation, to join our highly successful and innovative Languages Department.
With access to a range of online resources and native Conversation teacher support, our students enjoy experiencing language learning in fun and authentic ways. As critical and ethical thinkers, they embrace opportunities to compare cultures and develop their understanding of their own and others' cultural identity, with some students undertaking a language exchange or participating in an immersion study tour.

- have appropriate teaching and tertiary qualifications relevant to the position
- be a dynamic and effective classroom practitioner
- ability to differentiate instruction and cater for a range of learning abilities and needs
- have a thorough understanding of the learning process, including the role of assessment and feedback
- work effectively as a member of a team
- be personally committed to learning and professional growth
- have a strong work ethic
- possess strong ICT competencies
- show a genuine appreciation and commitment to pastoral care
- participate in the College's co-curricular program
- understand and adhere to the College's Child Safeguarding policies and practices
- contribute to the continuous improvement of Child Safeguarding at Newington.
