Full Time Home Visits (S630)

There is a vacancy for a full time home visits pathology collector in the Home Visits department.
Applicants must have a certificate III in pathology collection, current driving licence and a good
driving record.

Home Visit Collectors are responsible for specimen collection and handling in homes,
hospitals and nursing home facilities; documentation; and liaising with doctors,
receptionists and patients in a professional manner. An experienced pathology collector in
venepuncture is essential. Good interpersonal skills, a strong patient focus, computer
skills, flexibility and the ability to work in a busy department environment as well as
individually are essential. The collector will be experienced in collecting samples from
adults, the elderly, children and infants.

The successful applicant will be a member of the home visits department, with the ability to be
flexible in their working environment and be able to accept changes in daily routine as required
by their Head of Department or Supervisor.

Hours will be rostered between 7.30am - 4.00pm, Mon - Friday with participation in the
Saturday and on call roster on a rotational basis.
