Our client, a regulator in the heavy vehicle industry, is seeking to engage an experienced **Scrum Master** for their Regulatory Compliance Mobility Solution (RCMS) Team. They have commenced a very complex and lengthy program of work to uplift the base RCMS product to include many new sophisticated features and integrations with internal and external systems. Allowing RCMS to become the flagship product for the organisation for risk profiling, targeted enforcement and heavy vehicle compliance. Ensuring uniformity of on-road compliance and enforcement for the heavy vehicle industry. You will be joining an Agile-disciplined software development team that is continuously delivering major product enhancements in alignment with 2 - 5 year strategic product goals set by the organisation's Board. Priority and direction is very clear as the project team works very closely with senior business stakeholders and users.
This is an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend, based in Newstead.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
- Manage delivery against sprint plans and quarterly planning increments.
- Monitor and report on sprint progress and against quarterly performance indicators.
- Manage product team performance by ensuring objectives and tasks are clearly understood.
- Facilitate quarterly planning sessions with Product Owners and product teams to identify solutions to business problems/opportunities and breakdown solutions into feature epics.
- Facilitate user story refinement sessions and work with Product Owners to ensure product teams clearly understand their requirements.
- Facilitate sprint planning sessions with Product Owners and product teams to enable sizing and prioritisation of user stories.
- Implement a continuous improvement process as part of effective agile delivery governance and oversight.
- Leverage a data driven approach to baseline and track team performance and use insights to identify improvement opportunities.
- Resolve issues and remove impediments to product team delivery.
- Identify and assess product delivery risks, implement treatments, and monitor in line with delivery cadence.
- Assure the quality and timely delivery of products and outcomes by vendors where appropriate.
- Identify change impacts and communicate to programs and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with UX/UI and the wider team to define and improve the user experience.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures across Australia and contribute and promote a safe and healthy work environment including relevant COVIDSafe plans (particularly if traveling).
- Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes.
**Skills and Capabilities**:
- Demonstrated ability to build high performing product delivery teams and deliver in an Agile-SCRUM environment.
- Capability to assess, measure and report on achievements, enable changes to program scope direction and ensure benefit realisation and milestones are achieved.
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and organisational skills with an ability to meet priorities, competing deadlines and use of sound judgement in decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high-quality advice and support.
- Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated experience working in a rapidly changing and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral, including demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Openness to learning and takes responsibility for personal growth. Acquires strategies for gaining knowledge and learning new technologies and skills. Engages in learning from others both within and outside the organisation. Tries new approaches and broadens scope of work while learning from work assignments.
