**Job Description**:
The Position

The Project Team Lead - Train 3 & 4 is a key member of the capital projects team. This role presents a unique opportunity to plan and execute a portfolio of capital projects at Albemarle's Kemerton Plant, a world-class lithium hydroxide manufacturing facility. The Project Team Lead - Train 3 & 4 will work closely with colleagues in manufacturing, process technology (PT), HSE, contracting & procurement, and other functional groups to deliver safe, competitive, and predictable projects that meet or exceed the budgets and long-range plans for the Lithium Global Business Unit (GBU).

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe, competitive, and predictable project delivery which meets or exceeds commitments to the GBU.
- Take ownership of the allocated initiatives in the portfolio, working collaboratively with the key stakeholders, fostering the appropriate due diligence during the front-end development phases ensuring the business opportunity is robust and the project economics are clear, and the necessary deliverables are compliant with APP process.
- Prepare and present the scope and the study results and recommendations as a part of the APP gate review process, managing delivery challenges as they arise or escalate when necessary.
- Serves as a leader in safety on assigned projects including setting expectations and being visible in the field. Participate fully in investigations.
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Albemarle policies and procedures. Always, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.
- Manages assigned internal and external (e.g. EPC Contractors) resources supporting project development and delivery. Collaborates with other site functions to ensure best utilization of shared, site resources.
- Ensure that risks associated with the project scope are identified and appropriate mitigation measures are established and actively managed, working collaboratively with all internal and external key stakeholders.
- Leads site efforts to ensure proper monitor, control, and reporting of all contractor activities. Takes necessary corrective actions to ensure safe delivery of projects.
- Ensures APP is utilized on all assigned projects, including proper project development during evaluate and select stages. Ensures alignment and buy-in on project objectives with various stakeholder groups. Accountable for compliance with all ALB standards, codes, and specifications.
- Ensures critical project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and delivery strategies are utilized on assigned projects. Ensures that project funding estimates input are compiled and submitted correctly and timely with a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for comprehensive change management for assigned projects.
- Ensure that technical content and quality of designs and installation meet or exceed commitments to the GBU.
- Actively participates in design reviews, constructability reviews and other value improving practices (VIPs). Ensures all installation/construction issues, commissioning, start-up, and site training related to new designs and installations are properly addressed, documented and shared for lessons learned.
- Ensures best in class project documentation and materials retention.
- Responsible for management of change (MOC) and other process hazard reviews for assigned projects. Collaborates closely with operations, process technology, and corporate SMEs in these efforts.

Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in project delivery, in a petrochemical plant or similar industrial environment
- Minimum of 5 years of brownfield execution experience, working as a Senior Project Engineer or construction representative in a petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment with progressive demonstration of experience on capital projects in all stages/phases. It is preferred that the experience is a mix of time in the office as well as time in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the relevant stakeholders, exhibiting patience, flexibility, and adapting to changing circumstances with grace and elegance.
- Significant exposure working in the owner's team and/or large EPC organizations is highly regarded.

Education / Qualification Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
