Reporting to the Deputy Head of Operations, the banking officer is responsible for processing transactions across all operational areas, rotating through banking, remittance, and system management tasks accurately and efficiently, while observing operational risk controls.
Key duties will include:
Opening and closing of accounts, term deposit operations
Customer information maintenance and updates
Inward/outward clearing
Journal entries
Updating registers
Regulatory reports and data statistics
Filing vouchers, reports, and other documents
E-Banking setup and services
Loan operations
Processing inward and outward remittance transactions
Handling remittance inquiries
Updating registers
Managing operational errors and losses within management limits
Completing work volumes as per branch plans
Assisting with business plans or ad hoc tasks as required by the manager
Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of banking experience in operational roles, product knowledge of local clearing, deposit, loan, account management, and remittance payments, familiarity with regulatory requirements, customer service skills, strong organization, time management, attention to detail, teamwork, and fluency in both English and Chinese.
