Viva Energy's Geelong Refinery employs around 700 people and supplies over 50 percent of Victoria's and 10 percent of Australia's fuel.

The refinery can process up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day, manufacturing petrol, diesel, LPG, jet fuel, avgas, bitumen, specialty solvents for a wide range of industries. We now have a great opportunity for a **Plant Inspector** to join our high-performing Integrity Team.

Joining the Geelong Refinery, you will be part of an exciting industry, with a strong future and an opportunity to change the energy landscape for Victoria.

Reporting to the Lead Inspector, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment by performing inspections, interpreting, and reporting on mechanical integrity of refinery equipment, maintaining historical records and, offering recommendations on continued use of the equipment, or its rectification and repair options.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- You are a certified **AICIP In-Service Inspector** or **API510 Pressure Vessel Inspector**.
- Ideally tertiary (Mechanical Engineering etc.) qualified or, as a minimum you hold a recognised trade qualifications with trade experience.
- You ideally are experienced with refinery plant engineering or hold related industry experience (Food/FMCG, Pharma etc.) with pressure vessel inspection.
- Ideally qualified as an Assessor of Quality Assurance Systems.
- You hold an understanding of continuous process plant operations, ideally oil refining (distillation, conversion, treating etc), or oil and gas processing.
- Demonstrated understanding of technical (process plant) risk management techniques and decision making to 'As Low as Reasonably Practicable'.
- MS Office skills in Excel, Word etc.
- Skilled at influencing through others and an ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
