Due to an internal promotion, we have an amazing opportunity to join the Australia's largest broad range liquor wholesaler - Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) as the IBA Operations Manager NSW/ACT.
Reporting into the IBA NSW/ACT Business Manager, the aim of this role is to drive improvement in the IBA (Independent Brands of Australia) Network by developing and maintaining consistently high operational standards in the IBA retailer network across the NSW/ACT region by working with retailers while promoting Key IBA retail strategies through "Best Store in Town" executional excellence.
The Operations Manager is also responsible for leading, coaching, developing and mentoring the IBA Business Development Managers for the retail channel in NSW/ACT
What you'll do
Provide direction and advice for the overall operations of the retail stores in the Eastern Region. This includes providing advice on the management of stock, layout, assets and human resources
Manage store standards and customer service standards by ensuring retailers are adequately trained and provide training for staff. Where skills gaps are identified, provide coaching and training to minimize gaps
Ensure all IBA BDMs complete a promotional execution audit on every store every call cycle and reporting process is followed 100%
Ensure operations & sales teams are competent using the ALM Web Portal, MyIBA & SIF, sales reporting tools and other technology
Develop and coach the Business Development Team to achieve key KPI's in their given territories
Develop and identify opportunities for key foot print store growth within the NSW/ACT zone. Work with the team to compose and present robust financial and brand proposals that will demonstrate our commitment to successful independents.
What you'll bring
Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail management environment, preferably in Liquor or FMCG
Customer First Mindset
High level of customer service and relationship management skills, including use of CRM tools
Sound financial skills with a proven track record of achieving targets and budgets
Robust negotiation skills
Collaborate leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop
Strive for continuous improvement
